Play therapy

Empowering young minds through play therapy

As a child psychotherapist, I believe in the power of play therapy to connect with young clients and address their emotional needs.

Through play, children can safely express their feelings, process experiences, and develop coping skills in a supportive environment. By observing their interactions and engaging in playful activities, I gain valuable insights into their inner world and tailor my approach to their individual needs.

Play therapy allows children to explore their emotions, build trust, and work towards positive change at their own pace. It’s a non-directive approach that empowers children to take the lead in their therapeutic journey, fostering self-discovery and resilience.

CBT therapy

Nurturing young minds through CBT therapy

Cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) is a valuable tool for helping children understand and manage their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. As a child psychotherapist, I utilise CBT techniques to empower young clients to identify and challenge negative thought patterns, develop healthy coping strategies, and build resilience.

CBT can be particularly effective for children struggling with anxiety, depression, or behavioural issues. By working together, we can help children develop the skills they need to navigate life’s challenges and thrive.

Person centred approach

Helping young people find a way through

Person Centred therapy is a non-directive client centred form of therapy.
I use this non-directive approach to build the therapeutic relationship with the client using unconditional positive regard, empathy and congruence.
Known also as client centred therapy, it allows for your child or young person to take responsibility for their lives and develop the ability to solve problems by themselves.
